Specialist focus
Underground drill equipment is our only business. This singular focus enables a depth of knowledge that generalist providers simply cannot replicate.
Established in 2007 on a simple belief: the underground mining industry deserved better parts, better support, and better expertise from the people providing it.
Our founder knows the underground world firsthand. Starting out in the Western Goldfields of Western Australia, he built his career from the ground up.
Years spent underground maintaining, troubleshooting and working alongside drill equipment in real mining environments gave him something invaluable: deep, practical knowledge earned through experience.
That experience shaped a vision. Too many operations were losing time and money to parts that fell short — components that failed prematurely and kept equipment offline when it needed to perform. He believed it was possible to do better, and set out to prove it. That vision is now shared by the entire team at Maintenance Technique.
Today we are Australia's leading specialist in underground drill equipment maintenance. Proudly Australian-owned, Australian-operated and Australian-manufactured, with offices and facilities in Roseworthy (SA), Kalgoorlie (WA) and Townsville (QLD).
What sets us apart is simple: we never left the field. Our founder continues to work hands-on, on site with customers — maintaining equipment, solving problems, and staying connected to the real challenges operations face every day. It's that direct experience that drives the development of our premium components, each one designed around actual needs, not assumptions.
We're also deeply committed to the long-term health of the industry — investing in workforce skills, sharing knowledge, and making high-quality components accessible at a price point that makes sense. When the people underground are better supported and better equipped, everyone benefits.
We exist to keep underground drill fleets running harder, longer and at lower cost — through superior design, manufacturing and specialist expertise.
Underground drill equipment is our only business. This singular focus enables a depth of knowledge that generalist providers simply cannot replicate.
Every team member — from management to the workshop floor — has hands-on underground mining experience. We speak your language and understand your challenges.
We do not cut corners. Our components are manufactured to exacting standards and our rebuilds are backed by full quality documentation and sign-off.
We manufacture in Australia because we believe in supporting Australian industry, maintaining supply chain reliability, and delivering the quality our clients depend on.
We don't just maintain — we improve. Our team constantly looks for ways to enhance component performance, extend service life and reduce maintenance burden.
What makes Maintenance Technique genuinely different is our people.
Every engineer, technician, trainer and manager on our team has practical, hands-on experience in underground hard rock mining environments. This is not a talking point — it is our foundational hiring requirement.
Our team has collectively accumulated decades of experience working on, maintaining, rebuilding and improving underground drill equipment across Australian and overseas mine sites. When you engage Maintenance Technique you get people who have been underground, who understand the pressures you face, and who deliver solutions that work in the real world — not just on paper.
